Pulham St Mary Parish Council is comprised of nine resident and volunteer Parish Councillors, and a Parish Clerk/Responsible Financial Officer, who is a paid employee. In addition various contractors work to cover the routine maintenance of the village.
Any Parishioner can apply to become a Councillor – either by filling a vacancy when another Parishioner ceases to be a Councillor or by standing for election when the statutory District and Parish elections are held. The next election is 2022, and anyone interested should contact South Norfolk District Council Democracy Department for more information.
A Councillor must sign an acceptance of office and agree to be guided by a national code of conduct which includes completing a declaration of interest document within 28 days of taking office.
