Hazardous waste is not normally taken at recycling centres, however there is are annual free household hazardous waste days (amnesties) when certain hazardous waste items are accepted.
These are for residents disposing of household hazardous waste only and not for any business, group or other organisation.
The next household hazardous waste days will take place in September and October 2021:
- 11 and 12 September – King’s Lynn
- 18 and 19 September – Dereham
- 25 and 26 September – Thetford
- 1, 2 and 3 October – Hempton
- 9 & 10 October – Caister
- 15, 16 and 17 October – Ketteringham
- 23 and 24 October – Norwich North
Your local district, borough or city council may offer a hazardous waste collection, but they might charge you for this service.
