The Norfolk County Council (Pulham St Mary, C877 Harleston Road/ The Street) (30 M.P.H. Speed Limit) Amendment Order 2022

The Norfolk County Council propose to make the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from exceeding 30 miles per hour along the length of road specified in the Schedule below. The Norfolk County Council (Pulham St Mary) (30 m.p.h. Speed Limit) Order 2006 (“the 2006 Order”) will be amended as specified in the Schedule below. This would result in extending the current length of 30mph speed restriction by a distance of 94 metres at the C877 Harleston Road.  

A copy of the Order, plan, Statement of Reasons for making the Order and a copy of the 2006 Order may be viewed online at https://norfolk.citizenspace.com/.  Copies may also be available for inspection at Norfolk County Council, County Hall, Norwich and at the offices of South Norfolk District Council, South Norfolk House, Cygnet Court, Long Stratton, Norfolk, NR15 2XE, during normal office hours.  However, during the current epidemic staffing levels have been reduced and viewing online would be recommended in keeping with the government guidelines.

Any objections and representations relating to the Order must be made in writing and must specify the grounds on which they are made.  All correspondence for these proposals must be received at the office of nplaw, Norfolk County Council, County Hall, Martineau Lane, Norwich, NR1 2DH, marked for the attention of Ms A L Wilton by 14th June 2022. 30 m.p.h Speed Limit:

Delete the following reference from the Schedule of the 2006 Order:

B1134 – from a point 92 metres south of its junction with the U76208 northwards and westwards for a distance of 1190 metres.

Insert the following reference into the Schedule of the 2006 Order:

C877 (formerly B1134) Harleston Road/ The Street – from a point 300 metres south of its junction with the U76208 Hall Road northwards and westwards for a distance of 1398 metres.
